Title: Extrusion Technician
Location: Valley View, OH
Duration: Fulltime
Pay rate: $24-$26/hour on W2 plus benefits.
Description:
- Company is looking for an extrusion technician to work in our R&D group. This is a Junior-level, hands on job, the key responsibilities of which are as follows:
- Support film extrusion equipment set-up and operation
- Troubleshooting
- Providing recommendations and implementing solutions to resolve equipment and/or process problems in a timely manner
- Help develop processing parameters for multilayer films
- Ensure machines are functional and safe to operate
- Report safety problems immediately and operate equipment safely
- Write and revise SOPs
- Perform 5S activities
- Perform all material handling functions (raw materials and finished goods)
Required Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma/GED or 2+ years’ experience in manufacturing
- Safely lift and carry up to 50 lbs when necessary; remain standing/walking for extended periods of time
- 1+ years of experience in plastics processing
- Ability to ensure compliance with quality systems, policies, procedures, and practices and all local, state, federal and safety regulations, policies, and procedures
- Ability to maintain charts, graphs, and production reports
- Excellent verbal and good written communication skills (Microsoft Office)
- Ability to perform basic math and measurements and to gauge parts if needed
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills
- US Citizenship
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in plastics processing
- Flexible and capable of adapting to change
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
