Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for patients, guiding them through treatment options and scheduling appointments with enthusiasm and clarity
- Coordinate treatment plans by collaborating with dentists, hygienists, and other team members to ensure seamless patient care
- Verify insurance benefits and explain coverage details to patients, assisting with pre-authorizations and claims processing
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) accurately and efficiently, maintaining up-to-date patient information in compliance with health regulation policies
- Support medical administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling, patient check-in/out, and billing procedures
- Educate patients on post-treatment care instructions and follow-up appointments to promote optimal health outcomes
- Ensure compliance with all health regulations and privacy policies related to medical office operations and electronic health records management
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a medical or dental office setting, with familiarity in healthcare administrative procedures
- Strong knowledge of health regulation policies, insurance processes, and medical terminology
- Experience supporting medical administrative functions using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
- Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with patients, insurance providers, and healthcare professionals
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of dental office workflows and experience working within a healthcare team is highly preferred
- Demonstrated understanding of health insurance benefits, claims processing, and regulatory compliance
