PRN LPN, Medical Assistant (MA), or CNAPediatric Outpatient Medical Office
Mountain Ridge Pediatrics is looking for a caring, dependable, and team-oriented PRN LPN, Medical Assistant (MA), or CNA to join our pediatric outpatient practice.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking for flexible, as-needed hours while working in a friendly pediatric office environment. We are seeking someone who enjoys working with children and families and is committed to providing compassionate, high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Room pediatric patients and obtain vital signs
- Obtain and document patient histories
- Assist providers with examinations and procedures
- Administer vaccines and medications as permitted by licensure/certification
- Perform basic clinical procedures and testing
- Collect and process specimens
- Assist with patient and parent education
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records
- Assist with telephone triage and patient portal messages as appropriate
- Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked clinical areas
- Follow infection-control, safety, and office protocols
- Provide a welcoming and positive experience for patients and families
- Assist with other clinical and administrative duties as needed
Qualifications
LPN
- Current Virginia LPN license
- Pediatric experience preferred but not required
Medical Assistant
- MA certification preferred
- Previous medical office experience preferred
CNA
- Current CNA certification
- Healthcare experience preferred

What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is someone who is reliable, flexible, compassionate, and genuinely enjoys working with children.
PRN staff may be called upon to provide coverage for staff vacations, sick days, increased patient volume, and other staffing needs. Availability during regular weekday office hours is preferred.
Position Details
Position: PRN / As Needed
Setting: Pediatric Outpatient Medical Office
Schedule: Primarily Monday–Friday during regular office hours; Saturdays 9a-12p
No overnight hospital shifts
Pay: Competitive and based on experience, credentials, and position.
