A well-established and growing healthcare services organization is seeking an experienced Patient Care Coordinator to join its Tucson team. This role is ideal for professionals with experience in medical scheduling, patient admissions, benefits verification, medical office administration, patient registration, or durable medical equipment (DME).

What You'll Do
- Coordinate high-volume inbound and outbound communication with patients, caregivers, physicians, hospitals, and healthcare partners.
- Process a large volume of patient orders accurately and efficiently.
- Verify insurance eligibility, authorizations, and benefits while working with commercial insurance, government programs, and healthcare providers.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation within an electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Schedule equipment deliveries, patient services, and follow-up appointments.
- Assist patients and caregivers by providing clear instructions and troubleshooting basic equipment-related questions.
- Generate daily operational reports and support multiple departments as needed.
- Deliver outstanding customer service while ensuring compliance with healthcare documentation standards.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in a medical office, hospital, patient registration, admissions, call center, benefits verification, DME, or other healthcare setting.
- Experience working with EMR systems such as Brightree, Apachetta, or similar healthcare software.
- Comfortable handling a high volume of phone calls, multitasking, and data entry in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Compensation & Benefits
- Monday–Friday schedule (8:00 AM–5:00 PM)
- Occasional weekend emergency coverage as needed
