As Project Manager for Williams Fabrication and Industrial Services, your duties will be to quote, procure materials, staff, manage, and ensure customer satisfaction on day to day projects. The Project Manager position is an off-tool position.
Primary Job Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities
- Project Estimating
- Visit customer locations and walk jobs when Requests for Quotes come in.
- Work with vendors, third party contractors and/or service providers to secure competitive bids on materials and services as needed.
- Determine and weigh factors that may cause project delays, low profit margins, profit loss, scheduling issues, etc.
- Prepare and deliver grammatically correct, accurate, and professional estimate in timely manner to customer.
- Scheduling – Work with Operations Manager, other Project Managers, and customer to appropriately staff and schedule projects.
- Job Briefing/Kickoff – Assemble staff and job representative to complete necessary permits and safety paperwork, brief staff on Scope of Work, and point out/emphasize mission critical items that are crucial to the success of the project.
- Manage Project – Work with staffing on a “hands off” basis to ensure all materials, tooling, consumables, etc. are available when needed. Work with customer to ensure critical timelines, quality, and change orders are being dealt with properly. Visit job site on an as needed basis to ensure that staffing is on task and on schedule. Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues.
- Reporting – Provide detailed reports and updates to customer as needed.
- Commissioning – Work with customer and craftsmen to commission project and ensure satisfaction and quality. Perform any repairs and/or rework as needed to customer needs.
Requirements and Skills
- Proven competencies with a minimum of 10 years of mechanical maintenance background to include but not limited to millwright, pipe, and industrial fabrication.
- In-depth understanding of procedures, materials, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Estimating Software, and Excel.
- Excellent communication and organization skills.

Work Schedule
Base work schedule will be Monday – Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM with the understanding that Project Manager’s duties will rarely fall into these hours. Duties will often require early starts, long days, and weekends according to customer needs.

Company Vehicle and Policy
The position of Project Manager does include a company vehicle; however, the vehicle is to be utilized strictly for company use, not personal unless approved by the Owner. The company vehicle is expected to be kept in a neat and orderly manner as well as serviced regularly and inspected as required by MSHA standards.
Company Credit Card
All company credit cards and usage are strictly monitored by the Owner. Any use other than to purchase fuels, raw materials, tooling, small equipment, etc. are to be pre-approved prior to doing so. Approval required purchases may include, but not limited to, meals and entertainment, large tooling, equipment, and raw material purchases, etc. Approval to use credit cards for such purchases are fluid and permission will often be given by verbally.
Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
