Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service by understanding their gardening and landscaping needs
- Assist customers with product selection, including plants, gardening tools, lawn care supplies, floral arrangements, and outdoor equipment
- Offer expert advice on plant identification, horticulture practices, landscape maintenance, and floral design to enhance customer satisfaction
- Maintain attractive merchandising displays and ensure shelves are stocked with quality products
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for cash handling, sales transactions, and inventory management
- Support stock replenishment by organizing inventory, stocking shelves, and managing stock rotation
- Engage in outdoor work activities such as lawn care, landscape maintenance tasks, and plant care to demonstrate product use and maintain the store’s aesthetic appeal
Qualifications
- Previous experience or strong interest in gardening, horticulture, or outdoor work environments is preferred
- Knowledge of plant identification, floral design, lawn care techniques, and landscape maintenance is a plus
- Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a bonus for serving diverse customers
- Strong organizational skills to manage merchandising and stock organization effectively
- Customer service experience that demonstrates patience, active listening, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, lifting moderate weights, and outdoor work in various weather conditions
