We are seeking an experienced, highly connected, and strategic Business Development Director to help expand IBCCES’ presence throughout key industries and manage major metropolitan initiatives.
Position Summary
The Business Development Director will lead strategic sales efforts focused on securing high-profile accounts and citywide initiatives within the healthcare, travel, and education sectors. This role is designed for a seasoned sales professional who thrives in executive-level relationship building, strategic networking, and complex solution selling.
The ideal candidate is confident presenting to C-suite executives, government leaders, destination organizations, healthcare systems, and major institutions. This individual will also support and help direct a team of inside sales representatives focused on mid-level accounts through a collaborative team-selling approach.
Candidates must reside in the Greater Miami area and possess strong regional business relationships and networking capabilities. This role will be based in the Miami area, and report to home office in Jacksonville, FL. Occasional travel to Jacksonville as well as industry conferences will be required; majority of travel will be in and near Miami.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Business Development
- Identify, pursue, and close high-value partnership opportunities across healthcare, tourism/hospitality, education, corporate and related sectors
- Drive citywide and regional certification initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and organizations
- Develop executive-level relationships with CEOs, board members, government leaders, and industry influencers
- Represent IBCCES at conferences, networking events, trade shows, and executive meetings
Community & Industry Engagement
- Coordinate and participate in smaller community-level networking events, business forums, and industry gatherings to support regional relationship development and brand visibility
- Build connections with local organizations, chambers of commerce, healthcare groups, tourism leaders, schools, and community stakeholders
- Represent IBCCES at local engagement opportunities to strengthen partnerships and generate business development opportunities
- Support grassroots relationship-building efforts that contribute to larger citywide initiatives and strategic accounts
Sales Leadership
- Help direct and support a team of 2–4 inside sales representatives that will engage with partners in the regional initiative.
- Utilize a collaborative team-selling strategy to move opportunities through the sales cycle
- Assist in developing outreach strategies, account targeting, and sales positioning
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior sales team members
Presentation & Relationship Management
- Deliver professional presentations to high-level decision makers
- Conduct in-person and virtual meetings with enterprise-level clients
- Build deep, long-term relationships with strategic partners and industry leaders
- Understand organizational structures, key influencers, and relationship dynamics within target accounts
Market Expansion
- Support expansion of IBCCES citywide initiatives in key verticals: Healthcare systems, Travel and tourism organizations, Attractions and destinations, Educational institutions, and corporate spaces
- Identify new partnership models and growth opportunities
Qualifications
Required
- Must reside in the Greater Miami area
- 10 years of professional sales and business development experience
- Demonstrated success securing executive-level meetings and closing large strategic deals
- Strong experience in relationship-driven sales environments
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills
- Proven ability to navigate complex organizations and build strategic partnerships
- Experience managing or mentoring sales teams
- Strong networking capabilities and professional presence
Preferred
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
- Experience within healthcare, travel/tourism, education, SaaS, certification, training, or consulting industries
- Existing relationships within South Florida business and community networks
- Experience working with public-private partnerships or citywide initiatives

Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
