What you will do
- Diagnose and repair and install residential commercial HVAC and VRF/VRV/Mini Split systems: Mitsubishi City Multi, Daikin VRV, and conventional commercial equipment.
- Troubleshoot branch controllers, communication faults, refrigerant charge issues, and electrical and controls problems.
- Read wiring diagrams, line and low voltage, use manufacturer service tools, and interpret error codes.
- Handle startup, commissioning support, and refrigerant diagnostics.
- Document the fault, the repair, and the options clearly for the customer using ServiceTitan on a company iPad.
Vinco Mechanical is a commercial HVAC service company in NYC. We run and service Mitsubishi City Multi and Daikin VRV/VRF systems in both residential and commercial buildings. We are hiring a service technician who can diagnose commercial systems, not just maintain them.
Where you land in the pay band depends on your experience, especially your hands-on work on mini split and VRF systems. This is a primarily service and diagnostics role. You spend your day finding faults and fixing them, not pulling new installs but will at times.
What you bring - 3 or more years of commercial HVAC service experience. ▎ - EPA 608 certification.
- Valid NYS driver's license.
- Comfort reading wiring diagrams and troubleshooting electrical and controls faults. ▎ - Mitsubishi City Multi or Daikin VRV/VRF diagnostic experience moves you to the top of the band. If you are strong on commercial fundamentals and lighter on VRF, we train you up.
- OSHA 30 and NYC SST are a plus. If you do not have them, we help you get them.
What we offer
- $34 to $44 per hour based on experience, plus a $5,000 sign-on bonus after 90 days.
- Overtime at 1.5 times pay over 40 hours.
