We are a growing tree service company seeking an experienced, motivated General Manager to lead our field teams and help shape the future of our company. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on tree work expertise, strong leadership skills, and a passion for building a great team and company culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of tree service crews (removals, pruning, stump grinding, etc.)
- Lead by example in the field and office to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency
- Manage scheduling, routing, and customer communication
- Provide on-site training and guidance to crew members
- Hire, onboard, and mentor new employees
- Build and maintain a strong, positive team culture based on safety, trust, and pride in our work
- Monitor equipment, job progress, and crew productivity
- Collaborate with sales/admin teams for smooth job execution
- Enforce safety standards and company procedures
- Learn our industry specific software
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years of hands-on tree work experience (climbing, rigging, removals, pruning, equipment operations)
- 3+ years of leadership or management experience
- Proven ability to recruit and build effective crews
- Strong communication and people skills
- Passion for creating a positive, respectful, and accountable work environment
- Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred or willingness to obtain)
- ISA Certification required
