Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Plumber to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across various construction sites. Your expertise will ensure that plumbing installations meet all safety standards, building codes, and project specifications. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately install plumbing systems.
- Install, repair, and maintain piping, fixtures, valves, and related plumbing components using hand tools and power tools.
- Perform pipe threading, welding, and assembly tasks with precision to ensure secure connections.
- Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
- Collaborate with construction teams, electricians, HVAC technicians, and other trades to coordinate project timelines and ensure seamless integration of systems.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all phases of installation and maintenance activities on construction sites.
- Assist in remodeling projects by performing carpentry, handyman tasks, and general maintenance as needed.
Skills
- Extensive experience in construction plumbing with a solid understanding of building codes and safety standards.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding techniques.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately.
- Mechanical knowledge related to HVAC systems and general building infrastructure.
- Strong field service skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently on-site.
- Physical strength for heavy lifting and working in various positions for extended periods.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and layout work; familiarity with schematics is a plus.
- Experience with remodeling projects, maintenance tasks, and assembly work within commercial or residential settings. Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
