Sigma Stretch Film is looking for an experienced and responsible Safety Coordinator to join our team. This position with be in charge of implementing and overseeing the company’s employee workplace safety. Primary responsibilities will be ensuring that the company is in compliance with and adheres to Occupational Safety Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines and to champion the reduction of workers injuries.
Responsibilities:
- Safety
- Assist in planning, organizing and implementing Safety Program in a manufacturing environment
- Conduct safety training, job safety analysis, workplace audits and incident response as needed
- Post safety related bulletins and posters and discuss new procedures with employees Accident Prevention
- Perform safety audits and provide feedback to management
- Maintain a proactive approach to safety, being constantly aware of conditions and work practices Safety Monitoring
- Hold safety committee meetings and provide feedback to management
- Promote hourly personnel engagement in the safety culture
- Present employee safety recognition as established in company guidelines Accident/Incident Reporting, Investigation, & Analysis
- Ensure each incident/accident/injury is reported properly
- Ensure all reports are followed up with corrective action to prevent re-occurrence
- Establish procedures for follow up training due to incident/accident

- Bilingual English/Spanish with the ability to communicate orally and written in both languages.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per year
