Job Description:
CVS Health is looking for a Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The Pharmacy Technician will perform routine pharmacy tasks such as preparing, stocking, and maintaining our inventory. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and be dependable.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares and stocks medications, including phials, bottles, and vials
- Follows medication stocking procedures to ensure stock levels are maintained in the appropriate phials
- Maintains inventory of medications to ensure that stock levels are in place for the next day’s orders
- Cleans and maintains pharmacy workstations, including removing trash and restocking supplies as needed
- Assists with other pharmacy tasks as needed
- Ensures that all paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner
- Adheres to all security procedures to protect medication safety and confidentiality of patient information
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager or Pharmacist-related supervisor
Education & Experience:
·High school diploma or equivalent required.
·1-2 years of experience in a pharmacy environment preferred.
·Knowledge of pharmacology, drug dosage administration procedures, pharmacokinetics, drug storage procedures, and pharmaceutical safety practices preferred. Knowledge of drug dispensing procedures preferred. Knowledge of drug handling procedures required (e.g., protective equipment, allergies).
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $26.00 per hour
