Duties
- Design, develop, and execute detailed test cases and test plans for functional, performance, system, regression, and user acceptance testing of software applications.
- Automate test processes using tools such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, and scripting languages like Python or JavaScript to improve efficiency and coverage.
- Conduct mobile testing on Android and iOS platforms, ensuring compatibility across devices and operating system versions.
- Perform API testing for RESTful web services using tools like Postman or SoapUI; validate data exchange through APIs with tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
- Analyze test results to identify root causes of defects; collaborate with developers to troubleshoot issues using debugging techniques and defect tracking tools like Jira or HP ALM.
- Participate actively in Agile development cycles, including requirements gathering, sprint planning, continuous integration (CI/CD), release management, and retrospectives.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of test cases, test scripts, defect reports, and testing metrics; ensure traceability throughout the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).
Requirements
- Proven experience in software testing within an IT environment with a strong understanding of QA methodologies and SDLC processes.
- Hands-on expertise with automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, Jenkins, GitHub/GitLab for version control and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency in programming languages including Java, Python, JavaScript or C# for scripting automated tests.
- Solid knowledge of mobile testing on Android and iOS platforms; experience with Appium is a plus.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs testing using tools like Postman or SoapUI; understanding of JSON/XML data formats.
- Experience working with databases such as MySQL, SQL Server (Microsoft SQL Server), Oracle or MongoDB; ability to perform SQL queries for data validation.
- Strong analytical skills for root cause analysis; ability to interpret complex data sets for performance tuning and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of version control systems such as Git or SVN; experience with DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, business analysts, and product owners.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities within an Agile or Waterfall environment; proactive problem-solving attitude.

Pay: $53,849.93 - $64,851.53 per year
