Join our team as a School Bus Driver and become a vital part of ensuring safe, reliable transportation for students in our community. As a dedicated driver, you will operate school buses and other commercial vehicles with precision and care, providing a positive and secure experience for young passengers. This role offers an energetic environment where your driving skills make a real difference, helping students arrive safely at school and home each day.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses and other commercial vehicles, including shuttle buses, to transport students along designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, checking brakes, lights, tires, and mechanical systems
- Load and unload students efficiently while maintaining order and safety protocols
- Communicate clearly with students, parents, school staff, and dispatchers to coordinate schedules and address any issues
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies to ensure a secure transportation environment
- Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, and vehicle maintenance needs
- Respond promptly to emergencies or incidents on the road by following established safety procedures
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving, including bus driving or shuttle operations
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is a plus
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance basics such as mechanical troubleshooting
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) preferred but not mandatory for all roles

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
