American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) with 2+ years of OR experience for a 13-week travel contract in Petoskey, MI.
-
Hospital operating room setting covering a full spectrum of surgical specialties, including general elective and critical/life-saving procedures

Day shift, 11a–9p, Monday through Thursday
-
12-hour shifts
-
On-call requirement of one night per week (9p–7a) and one weekend per month (7p–7a Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)

Holiday coverage is required

Minimum of 2 years of CSFA experience required

Experience in Ortho, General, Endo-Vascular, Urology, and OB is preferred

BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
-
NBSTSA or NCCT certification required (certifications are considered interchangeable)

License required if applicable

Assist across a wide range of surgical procedures spanning multiple specialties

Skills checklist completed within the past year is preferred for non-nursing professions

No more than 5 days of RTO may be requested for the duration of the contract

Current or recent full-time employees of this health system are not eligible for contract hire within six months of their employment end date

A strict attendance policy is in place — three occurrences of an unexcused absence or arriving more than 20 minutes late may result in immediate termination; exceptions are reviewed for documented communicable illness or hospitalization
