Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Leader to join our team in a dynamic casual dining environment. The Shift Leader will play a crucial role in managing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and leading a team of staff members. This position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and supervise employees effectively while maintaining high standards of food management and service.
Duties
- Oversee daily operations during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to company policies.
- Supervise and train staff members, fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and high performance.
- Manage customer service interactions, addressing any concerns or feedback promptly to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Coordinate food preparation and presentation, ensuring quality standards are met consistently.
- Assist in inventory management, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels for the bar, coffee station, and catering services.
- Enforce health and safety regulations within the establishment, promoting a clean and safe environment for both staff and customers.
- Prepare reports on shift performance, including sales data, staffing needs, and customer feedback for management review.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a leadership role within the food service industry, preferably in casual dining or hotel settings.
- Strong knowledge of food management practices and customer service excellence.
- Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments while maintaining composure under pressure.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Experience with coffee preparation or bar management is a plus.
- A passion for providing outstanding service in all aspects of the dining experience.
