A Day in the Life of a Clinical Research Coordinator
As a CRC, you'll work closely with the site administrator, principal investigator, and sub-investigators to help bring clinical drug trials to life. You'll be the trusted point of contact for trial participants, explaining protocols, collecting samples and data, and ensuring every subject's safety and privacy are protected. Your work will directly support the integrity and success of groundbreaking clinical research.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the coordination and execution of clinical drug trials under the guidance of the site administrator, principal investigator, and sub-investigators
- Reading, comprehending, and executing clinical trial protocols
- Performing laboratory tests as required by trial protocol
- Monitoring clinical and laboratory data for accuracy and protocol compliance
- Completing all documentation required for submission to the trial sponsor
- Complying with all applicable international, federal, state, local, and company regulations, laws, and policies
- Interacting with patients, explaining trial protocols, consenting subjects, monitoring compliance, and collecting data and lab samples
- Protecting subject safety and maintaining patient privacy at all times
- Staying flexible and pitching in on other duties as needed
Requirements and Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience coordinating and executing clinical drug trials under the direction of site leadership and investigators
- Strong experience making sure trials are accurate and compliant
- Experience interacting with patients and explaining protocols, obtaining consent, and collecting data
- Skills to ensure compliance with international, federal, state, and institutional regulations and policies in your work
- Ability to identify and resolve data queries
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- High moral and ethical standards, with a professional and responsible demeanor
- Commitment to the success of the research team
