Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitorial Worker to maintain cleanliness and safety across our facilities. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all areas are spotless, well-maintained, and compliant with health and safety standards. Available Hours: 2PM-1030PM, 4PM-1230AM, 10PM-630AM
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment
- Handle chemical agents safely, following all protocols for storage, usage, and disposal to ensure a safe environment
- Use floor buffers and other floor care equipment to maintain high standards of cleanliness and shine on various flooring surfaces
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks such as moving furniture or equipment while adhering to safe lifting practices
- Restock supplies like paper towels, soap dispensers, and cleaning materials to ensure continuous availability
- Assist with industrial or commercial cleaning projects, including window washing, carpet cleaning, and deep sanitation procedures
- Support general facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting issues requiring professional attention
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is highly preferred
- Familiarity with cleaning techniques involving chemical agents and proper handling procedures
- Experience operating floor buffers, scrubbers, or other custodial equipment is advantageous
- Knowledge of safe lifting practices for manual handling of heavy objects
- Background in facilities maintenance or porter roles that involve routine cleaning and upkeep tasks
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, bending, lifting heavy objects safely, and manual handling of cleaning supplies
- Previous experience in residential painting or industrial cleaning can be beneficial but is not required
