Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Countertop Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be instrumental in transforming raw materials into high-quality countertops that meet precise specifications. Your expertise in fabrication, use of hand and power tools, and understanding of materials handling will drive the production process forward with efficiency and accuracy. Responsibilities
- Operate fabrication machinery and hand tools to cut, shape, and finish countertop materials such as stone, quartz, or solid surface composites
- Measure and mark materials accurately according to project specifications using measuring tapes, squares, and other precision tools
- Handle materials safely using forklifts and other heavy equipment to move raw materials and finished products within the warehouse or manufacturing floor
- Assemble countertop components ensuring proper fit, alignment, and secure fastening using welding, mechanical fasteners, or adhesives
- Maintain a clean, organized work area adhering to safety protocols and quality standards throughout the fabrication process
- Inspect finished countertops for defects or imperfections, making adjustments as needed to meet quality expectations
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship
Qualifications
- Proven experience in fabrication, manufacturing, or construction environments with hands-on use of hand tools and power tools
- Mechanical knowledge related to machining, welding, and materials handling equipment such as forklifts and heavy machinery
- Familiarity with millwork processes and assembly techniques for custom countertops or similar products
- Warehouse experience including inventory management and safe operation of heavy equipment like forklifts and cranes
- Strong attention to detail with excellent measurement skills and precision in cutting and finishing surfaces
- Ability to operate welding equipment safely and effectively when required for assembly tasks
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation, welding, and working with various building materials
