Job Summary:
As a team member, the Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering engaging, differentiated instruction to students and for serving as a homeroom teacher. The teacher will collaborate with colleagues to integrate Catholic values into the curriculum and create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages students to excel academically and grow in their faith.
Responsibilities:
Support and uphold the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the school- Act as a witness to the Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Catholic Church
- Plan and deliver standards-based instruction that meets the needs of diverse learners.
- Differentiate instruction to support students with varying abilities and learning styles.
- Use a variety of instructional strategies, resources, and technology to engage students in learning.
- Assess student progress and provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate Catholic values and principles into the curriculum.
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters academic growth and spiritual development.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress and achievements.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and collaborate with colleagues to improve instructional practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Education or a related field.- Valid teaching certification in the State of Texas.
- Experience teaching science at the elementary level (experience in a Catholic school preferred).
- Strong knowledge of relevant subject content, pedagogy, and instructional strategies.
- Ability to differentiate instruction and meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to Catholic education and the mission of the school.
