We are seeking an experienced Florida Licensed Attorney to serve as Fractional Business Counsel for our growing group of companies.
This is a long-term advisory role focused on supporting day-to-day business operations, contracts, compliance, employment matters, and general legal guidance. The ideal candidate is practical, business-minded, responsive, and enjoys helping companies make sound decisions while minimizing legal risk.
Responsibilities
- Serve as ongoing legal counsel for multiple operating businesses.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
- Provide legal guidance on business operations, policies, and compliance.
- Prepare and review business correspondence and formal legal communications.
- Advise on employment, independent contractor, HR, and workplace matters.
- Support dispute resolution through negotiation and professional communication.
- Assist with intellectual property protection, branding, and business assets.
- Review company policies, procedures, and terms to ensure legal compliance.
- Identify potential legal risks and recommend practical business solutions.
- Coordinate with outside litigation counsel when specialized representation is required.
- Provide timely legal guidance to ownership and leadership on day-to-day business matters.
Qualifications
- Active Florida Bar license in good standing.
- Minimum 5 years of experience practicing business law.
- Strong background in contracts, corporate governance, employment law, and commercial transactions.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to balance legal protection with practical business objectives.
- Highly responsive, organized, and comfortable working independently.
Compensation is flexible and may be structured as:
- Monthly retainer
- Hourly engagement
- Hybrid retainer plus hourly arrangement
