Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Irrigation Specialist to join our landscaping team. This position plays a key role in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting irrigation systems to ensure optimal performance and water efficiency across multiple properties. The ideal candidate will have hands-on irrigation experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain irrigation systems including pipes, valves, sprinkler heads, drip lines, and controllers
- Perform system start-ups, winterizations, and seasonal maintenance
- Conduct routine inspections to identify leaks, clogs, or malfunctioning components
- Troubleshoot and repair 2-wire irrigation systems, including locating wire faults and decoder issues
- Program and adjust irrigation controllers to optimize watering schedules
- Work with landscaping crews to ensure proper system installation and functionality
- Maintain clean and organized job sites
- Document work performed and materials used
- Follow safety procedures when operating tools and equipment
- Communicate professionally with customers and team members
- Stay current on irrigation technologies and best practices
Qualifications
- Previous irrigation experience required
- Experience with 2-wire irrigation systems preferred
- Knowledge of irrigation controllers and system programming
- Ability to read irrigation plans and wiring diagrams preferred
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs
Schedule
- Monday – Friday
- Some Saturdays as needed
