Beloved Santa Cruz brand, The Penny Ice Creamery, is officially expanding to the Bay Area!
We are seeking enthusiastic Ice Cream Scoopers for our two new Bay Area locations opening this April 2023 in the Los Altos at the State Street Market(170 State St, Los Altos, CA 94022), and in Palo Alto at the Town and Country Village(855 El Camino Real, Palo Alto, CA 94301).
The Penny Ice Creamery makes ice cream completely from scratch, in house, using local and organic ingredients. We make unique, rotating flavors like Strawberry Pink Peppercorn, Earl of Grey, New Orleans Coffee, and Raspberry Rose! We also make classic flavors like Cookies n' Cream, Fresh Mint Chip, Tahitian Vanilla Bean, and Dark Chocolate Sorbet.
As an Ice Cream Scooper, you will be creating a fun and memorable experience for our guests by scooping ice cream, making ice cream sundaes and milkshakes and various novelty items, making coffee and tea drinks (proudly serving Verve Coffee), and of course, toasting our famous marshmallow fluff!
Requirements
- Ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to work alone/ unsupervised.
- Must have availability during the week, weekends and holidays on a reliable basis.
- Must be available to work 20 hours a week on a reliable basis.
- Preference will be given to individuals with experience in food service, although we will train the right person.
