Prepare and cook meals according to posted menus, standardized recipes, and diet orders.
Ensure meals are prepared on time and served at the proper temperature and consistency.
Follow therapeutic and modified diet guidelines as directed by the Dietitian or Dietary Manager.
Taste-test food for quality, flavor, and appearance before service.
Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.
Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards.
Properly store and label all food items; monitor refrigerator and freezer temperatures daily.
Assist with receiving, rotating, and storing food and supplies.
Minimize waste through proper portion control and inventory practices.
Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and food preparation areas.
Work cooperatively with other dietary staff to ensure timely and efficient meal service.
Follow all safety policies and report unsafe conditions or equipment immediately.
Attend required in-service training and staff meetings.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Dietary Manager.
