Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and customer-focused Cashier/Customer Service Representative to join our dynamic retail team. Responsibilities
- Operate the cash register (POS system) accurately during retail sales transactions, ensuring proper cash handling and cash drawer management
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product demos when needed
- Upsell products and promote store specials to enhance the customer experience and increase sales
- Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure the store displays are attractive and well-maintained through effective merchandising
- Maintain phone etiquette when handling inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Support in supervising team members during busy periods, including overseeing product demos and ensuring smooth store operations
- Assist customers with retail math calculations for purchases, discounts, or returns while demonstrating clear communication skills
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in a fast-paced environment
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve a diverse customer base effectively
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math is beneficial
- Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and customer service expertise, are essential for success in this role
- Knowledge of retail store product details and merchandising techniques will help you excel in engaging customers and boosting sales
