We are looking for a reliable, hard-working Maintenance Staff member to help keep our grounds, amenities, and utility systems in peak condition.
Job Summary
The Maintenance Staff member plays a key role in ensuring our campground is safe, fully functional, and visually appealing. This position is responsible for general facility repairs, utility monitoring, groundskeeping, and assisting guests with site setups or utility issues as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Facility & Grounds Maintenance:
- Perform daily groundskeeping, including trash pickup, leaf blowing, weed control, and general outdoor cleanup.
- Maintain campground amenities, ensuring restrooms, laundry rooms, pool areas, and common spaces are clean, safe, and operational.
- Prepare RV sites for incoming guests by inspecting hookups, clearing debris, and ensuring fire rings and picnic tables are in good repair.
Basic Repairs & Utilities:
- Troubleshoot and handle basic repairs related to plumbing, electrical hookups, site water lines, and light carpentry.
- Conduct regular inspections of park infrastructure and report major repair needs to the Manager.
- Safely operate equipment such as mowers, weed trimmers, golf carts, and standard hand/power tools.
Guest Engagement & Safety:
- Provide friendly, helpful service when interacting with guests on the property.
- Assist guests with basic utility hookup troubleshooting or site questions when needed.
- Maintain safe working conditions by following proper safety protocols and keeping work areas/maintenance shops organized.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 1+ years of experience in outdoor maintenance, landscaping, building maintenance, or a similar trade preferred.
- Technical Skills: Basic hands-on knowledge of general plumbing, basic electrical, and light repair work.
- Customer Service: Friendly, approachable attitude with a willingness to assist guests politely.
- Work Ethic: Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently, and a eye for detail.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, stand/walk for long periods, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Requirements: Valid Driver's License. Background check required.
Schedule & Pay
- Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week; schedule may include weekends or holidays to align with peak guest travel times).
- Pay Rate: $19.00 - $20.00 / hour (commensurate with experience).
