Member Duties : CHCM members serve approximately 40 hours per week in a full-time capacity from September 14 to July 30, 2027. Each member is placed with a local Montana organization—such as a nonprofit, tribal program, or community coalition—and works on projects grounded in local health needs. Members in health education and outreach roles will help expand community-facing education, communication, and engagement efforts. Activities may include refining training materials, assisting with curriculum or outreach content, supporting public health career and Community Health Worker program outreach, creating website or social media content, capturing stories that highlight community success, and helping behavioral health professionals connect with rural and tribal communities. This opportunity offers hands-on experience in public health education, community communication, outreach planning, storytelling, and relationship-building with rural and tribal partners.
