Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items with consistency, quality, and presentation in mind
- Follow recipes, portion controls, and food handling procedures to ensure safety and standards are met
- Assist in menu planning by providing input on dish preparation and ingredient selection
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations
- Support food preparation activities for catering events or special functions as needed
- Adhere strictly to food safety regulations and proper knife skills during food handling and meal preparation
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service delivery
Experience
- Proven experience as a line cook in a fast-paced restaurant or culinary setting, preferably with fine dining experience
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food industry standards
- Experience with dietary department protocols and dietary aide procedures is a plus
- Skilled in menu planning, meal preparation, and food handling safety practices
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques
- Prior experience supporting catering services or large-scale food service operations is advantageous
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
