Job Summary:
The Child Development Coordinator, under the supervision of the Director of Child Development and Activities, is responsible for participating in the planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating for both early intervention and Social Recreation programs. This role ensures that the developmental, emotional, social, and recreational needs of patients, particularly those from birth to 21 years old, are met and maintained on an individual basis, in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards. The Child Development Coordinator coordinates patient assessments, provides parent education on developmental strategies, and leads group and individual activities.
It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support the organization strategic plan, the goals and direction of the quality assurance performance improvement process, and activities.
Requirements:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Child Development, Recreation Therapy or in related field preferred

Minimum of one (1) year experience working with infants, toddlers, school aged children, youth, or young adults (ages 0-21 years old).
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Knowledge/Skill:
- Must possess good work ethics and a professional image at all times

Knowledge of CMS conditions of participation, CDPH state regulations, CCS, and TJC (hospital, nursing care center, and laboratory) accreditation requirements as applicable to job
- Working knowledge of computer and software applications as applicable to job
