Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Class A CDL Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and professionalism in handling various types and refrigerated trailers.
Duties
- Operate and drive OTR trucks with reefer trailer in the Midwest, South and Southeast
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and cargo details.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transport.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods while managing routes efficiently.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL A) with appropriate endorsements for tanker operations preferred.
- Proven experience in truck driving with a strong understanding of road safety regulations.
- Ability to operate various truck types including refrigerated trailers.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines.
- Must be able to pass background checks and drug screenings as required by company policy.
- Willingness to work flexible hours including nights or weekends if necessary.
