The Raft Cafe is a new cafe + cozy play area opening in the next two weeks near the Delaney Park Strip in Anchorage, AK.
We’re looking for a dependable and motivated gourmet sandwich/salad maker/kitchen lead to join our team to cover most of our morning/afternoon weekday shifts and one morning/afternoon weekend shift, most likely Sunday. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen, takes pride in quality food preparation, and works well with others.
A typical shift may include:
- Preparing gourmet sandwiches, soups, and salads
- Making housemade sauces, aiolis, baked goods, and other scratch-made items
- Managing daily kitchen prep and food organization
- Restocking ingredients and maintaining clean, organized stations
- Supporting teammates and jumping in wherever needed during busy shifts
What we’re looking for:
- Previous kitchen or food prep experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and food quality
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented attitude with reliable attendance
- Food safety and sanitation awareness
Schedule:
- Weekend availability required
- Flexible scheduling available, including part-time, full-time, and seasonal positions
- Pay starting at $18.00+ per hour, plus tips
- Pay depends on experience
Qualifications:
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented and willing to learn multiple roles
- Previous cafe or food service experience preferred, but not required
- We are happy to train the right person and we value attitude and energy just as much as experience
