Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the service department, ensuring smooth workflow and high-quality service delivery
- Supervise and support service technicians, service writers, and support staff to meet performance standards and customer expectations
- Oversee vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance procedures including oil changes, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, tire services, transmission repairs, and engine repairs
- Maintain excellent client communication by explaining repairs clearly, providing updates on vehicle status, and ensuring customer concerns are addressed promptly
- Handle cash transactions accurately while managing service orders and invoicing processes
- Support automotive sales efforts by providing technical expertise during vehicle demonstrations or test drives when applicable
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and dealership policies while fostering a positive team environment focused on continuous improvement
- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics and repair procedures
- Proven experience in auto service management or dealership service departments with leadership capabilities
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly to clients
- Skilled in upselling services that meet customer needs while increasing revenue opportunities
- Experience with service writing and automotive repair documentation processes
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
