Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Manage tables by bussing, resetting, and ensuring cleanliness in accordance with food safety standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery
- Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, including wine pairings and dietary options like gluten-free or vegetarian dishes
- Assist with opening or closing duties, including sanitation, stocking supplies, and setting up stations
- Foster positive guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall guest happiness
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for order processing and billing
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
- Excellent time management to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently while respecting guest preferences
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and check splitting
- Experience with food preparation or kitchen operations is a plus but not required
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and ensure smooth service flow
