A well-established nonprofit based in Brooklyn is seeking a Grant Accountant to join their finance team.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and post journal entries; analyze general ledger activity

Monitor grant expenditures against approved budgets and funding agreements

Prepare and manage grant budgets, invoices, financial reports, and workpapers per funder deadlines

Review and approve accounts payable vouchers for grant-funded programs

Support internal and external audits with documentation and reconciliations

Analyze budget variances and financial data to identify trends and risks
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in grants accounting

Experience managing fiscal requirements of NYC, NYS, federal, and private grants
-
Sage Intacct experience a plus, not required

Advanced Excel proficiency

Strong communicator, comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
