aVenture is a San Francisco, California (USA) based financial technology startup, with a small global team (North and South America, Europe, Asia) looking to forever change investing by making venture capital investment funds available to everyone.
aVenture is seeking a knowledgeable valuation specialist with experience in venture capital and private company valuation. We are looking for 1-2 valuation professionals to join us part-time or full-time (20 to 40 hours a week), and this position is available at a fixed rate of compensation per month or hourly rate, depending on schedule arrangements made by the candidate.
This is a remote position that can be done from anywhere in the world (work from home). This position requires a regular work schedule and must have at least 4 hours of US Pacific Time availability per weekday in your schedule.
Desired skills:

Experience valuing private companies and/or startups (e.g., venture capital, private equity, other asset class experience is beneficial as well)

Job duties:

Analyze privately held companies and securities
-
Perform valuation analysis on a wide range of private companies across different industries

Prepare business valuation models and reports
-
Design and work with financial models for discounted cash flow, market multiple, market transaction and option pricing analyses

Assist in preparing and presenting the results of your analysis in a clear and concise manner

Collaborate with team members to share information and insights

Perform in-depth client, industry, market and competitor research

Perform detailed analysis of financial and legal documents, analysis of potentially fraudulent transactions, and reconstruction of financial statements
Qualifications required:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or concentration in finance, accounting, economics, or related fields; Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholders or candidates and NACVA certificate holders (including CVA) are also considered to meet this requirement

Strong analytical, research, and sampling and quantitative abilities

Experience conducting company valuation, particularly in the venture capital sector
