Academy for GOD is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable High School Science Teacher to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year.
Our primary need is for an educator with experience teaching Physics, Chemistry, and Biology at the high school level. The ideal candidate is committed to academic excellence, enjoys making science engaging and accessible, and desires to invest in students both academically and spiritually.

Responsibilities
- Teach high school science courses, including:
- Physics
- Chemistry
- Biology
- Create engaging lesson plans and assessments aligned with course objectives.
- Differentiate instruction to meet student needs.
- Monitor student progress and communicate effectively with students and families.
- Maintain accurate grades and records.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events.
- Foster a positive, Christ-centered classroom environment.
- Collaborate with school leadership and colleagues to strengthen the science program.
QualificationsRequired
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Education, Engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to teach high school science courses.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to the mission and values of Christian education.
Preferred
- Tennessee teaching license in secondary science.
- Experience teaching Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
- Ability to teach multiple science disciplines.
- Experience in a Christian school setting.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $42,000-$50,000 annually based on experience, credentials, and the courses and responsibilities the candidate is able to offer.
