The Role:
The Early Childhood Learning Specialist 3 (ECPS 3) provides quality care and early learning educational instruction to meet the needs of children aged 4 weeks to 12 years of age enrolled in the Early Childhood Learning Center (ECLC). This position is responsible for creating, managing, and assessing the daily activities, curriculum lesson plans, and classroom environment both indoor and outdoor. The ECPS 3 will be assigned to a specific room and age group by the Director based on center needs. This position works as part of a team with other staff at ECLC to ensure a quality learning and growing environment and may be asked to provide additional support as needed when other staff are absent or on leave. This position leads student staff to supplement a staff/child ratio according to DCYF (Department of Children Youth and Families) and state guidelines.
