Duties
- Perform a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments to address client needs.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to develop personalized treatment plans that optimize pain management and overall well-being.
- Deliver professional skincare services such as facials, exfoliations, waxing, and other esthetic treatments tailored to individual skin types and concerns.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their goals, explain treatment procedures clearly, and provide aftercare recommendations.
- Maintain detailed records of client treatments, progress notes, and treatment plans in compliance with health regulations.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by adhering to sanitation standards and safety protocols including CPR certification.
- Stay current with industry trends by participating in ongoing education related to massage therapy techniques, esthetic advancements, physiology knowledge, medical terminology, and client communication skills.
Experience
- Proven experience as a licensed massage therapist with proficiency in multiple modalities such as Swedish massage, deep tissue therapy, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and pain management techniques.
- Prior work in a med spa or healthcare setting is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology to accurately assess client needs and recommend appropriate treatments.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients about their health concerns and treatment options.
- Familiarity with occupational health standards and medical terminology relevant to therapeutic practices.
- Certification in CPR is required; additional certifications in esthetics or skincare are preferred.
- Experience working with clients on pain relief or injury recovery is a plus.
