American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a high-volume Labor & Delivery position at a Level IV Maternal Designation facility in Austin, TX, requiring a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Certification.

Labor & Delivery unit at a Level IV Maternal Designation academic teaching facility

Unit includes 20 LDR suites, 4 C-section suites, 10 triage rooms, 51 Mother-Baby Couplet rooms, and 14 monitored antepartum beds
-
High-risk, fast-paced service performing 500+ deliveries per month
-
24-hour in-house attending OB, anesthesia, and NICU coverage on site

Perinatal Transport Program in place

Facility is expanding with a new Women's Tower opening mid-2026

Day shift: 06:45–19:15

13-week contract
-
Active TX RN license or compact license with TX privileges required
-
Current BLS certification from AHA or American Red Cross required
-
Current ACLS certification from AHA or American Red Cross required

NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification from AAP required
-
Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Certification required

Minimum 2 years of L&D/perinatal experience in a high-volume delivery service required

ADN from an accredited nursing program required

Valid US Social Security Number and US home address required

Driver's License required for consideration

Two professional references required for consideration

Serve a high-risk perinatal patient population with complex delivery and antepartum care needs

Nursys license verification must be completed within 30 days prior to assignment start

Preferred qualifications include 3–5 years of perinatal clinical experience, BSN, S.T.A.B.L.E. Program certification, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certification
