Own setups and daily operation of multiple CNC and manual machines—lathes, mills, grinders—delivering medical-grade parts to spec.

Optimize controls: set feeds, speeds, and overrides for consistency and repeatability.

Use machine command codes to retrieve data, restart programs, and clear/resolve alarms safely.

Read STERIS drawings and travelers; apply GD&T to plan workholding, tooling, and inspection.

Measure twice, cut once: verify dimensions with micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision metrology tools.

Champion safety—PPE on, rules followed, hazards reported immediately.

Keep your area audit-ready using 5S; prevent defects by managing tool life and spotting premature wear.

Hit commitments without sacrificing quality; follow policies and code of conduct communicated via handbook, bulletins, newsletters, and other STERIS channels.

Share what you know: help train operators and support cross-training.

High school diploma or GED required; technical degree a plus.

2+ years of hands-on machining experience.

Confident with CNC and conventional lathes and mills from setup through production.

Proficient in blueprint reading, GD&T, and production specs.

Comfortable with metrology tools and in-process inspection.

Strong math skills and a quality-first mindset; decisive and detail-oriented.

Clear communicator and collaborative team member; follows written and verbal instructions.

Adaptable to shifting priorities and business needs.

Open to overtime when required.

Nice to have: knowledge of Lean (5S, Kanban, Visual Management, waste elimination, root cause problem solving).
Two fixed options: 7:00am–3:00pm Monday–Friday, or 11:00pm–7:00am Sunday–Thursday. Overtime as needed.
