Responsibilities:
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following infection control protocols using aseptic techniques.
- Assist orthodontists during procedures such as bracket placement, wire adjustments, and appliance fittings with precision and care.
- Take and develop dental X-rays, including panoramic and 3D scans, ensuring patient safety and comfort while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Manage patient records efficiently using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Ortho2Edge, documenting treatment details accurately.
- Educate patients on orthodontic care, including appliance maintenance, oral hygiene practices, and post-treatment instructions.
- Support the dental reception team by scheduling appointments and verifying insurance coverage.
- Understanding of HIPAA compliance to protect patient privacy at all times.
- Prior experience supporting orthodontic treatment is mandatory.
