PDS Industries is looking for a Facility Security Officer. The Facility Security Officer (FSO) will be responsible for overseeing and implementing security measures at PDS Industries, will ensure the safety of personnel, property, and sensitive information by managing security clearances, conducting security training, and implementing facility security measures.
The ideal candidate should have previous experience in a similar role, working in a secure manufacturing environment, working with government controls. Preference may also be given to a candidate who has experience working in a secure setting, who possesses an interest in this subject space, with an aptitude for learning. As well as, overseeing Facility projects for the building, grounds, and equipment to ensure they are safe, functional, and efficient for employees.
Key Responsibilities
Annual Training and Awareness - Providing security training to employees, tracking and maintenance of training, also for other stakeholders, promoting a security-conscious culture.
Security Clearance Management - Overseeing the process of obtaining and maintaining security clearances for personnel, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Implementation of security measures, including employee badging, access points, drawing safes-management, restricted electronic data management and classification related policies.
Incident response and reporting and provision of input/reporting for any resolution of Security / Records related issues.
Security Risk Assessments and Planning: Conducting regular assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and developing comprehensive security plans.
Ensuring compliance with relevant security regulations, standards, and best practices.
Collaborating with law enforcement and other security agencies as needed.
Developing and implementing crisis management plans to address potential security threats and emergencies.
Monitoring security systems and conducting surveillance to detect and deter potential threats.
Keeping accurate records of security procedures, incidents and other relevant information.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Ideally a candidate who already has experience in Facility Security and can demonstrate success in such a role.
The preferred candidate must have experience working in a secure setting with government controls.
Awareness and understanding of 32 CFR Part 117 NISPOM and CMMC is highly desirable.
Bachelor's / Associate’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
Strong understanding of security principles and practices.
Knowledge of relevant security regulations and standards.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Must be able to pass a background check.
Must be able to obtain a Security Clearance.
