Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented TikTok Livestream Moderator/Operator to join our team in New York. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing social commerce venture where you will play a key role in supporting live shopping experiences on TikTok. As a Livestream Moderator, you will help showcase products to viewers, engage with the audience, and drive sales through data-driven insights.
Key Responsibilities:
Livestream Management: Support and operate live shopping events on TikTok by managing the livestream content in real time. Monitor the chat and engage with viewers, answering questions, and moderating comments to ensure a positive and smooth experience. Collaborate with the host to ensure that products are properly showcased and highlighted during the stream. Address technical issues promptly to avoid disruptions in the livestream.
Audience Engagement: Interact with the livestream audience to boost engagement, answer product-related questions, and drive conversions. Moderate discussions, encourage participation, and create a positive, interactive environment that enhances the viewer experience. Promote special offers, discounts, and other promotional tactics to incentivize viewers to make purchases.
Data and Metrics Analysis: Track and analyze key performance metrics during and after each livestream (e.g., audience engagement, viewer count, sales conversions). Provide insights and feedback to optimize future livestreams and improve audience interaction and sales performance. Create and present reports on livestream performance, identifying areas for improvement.
Collaboration with the Marketing and Sales Team: Work closely with the marketing, e-commerce, and product teams to align on product messaging and promotional strategies during livestreams. Assist in planning the content schedule for livestreams based on product launches, campaigns, and customer preferences. Collaborate with influencers, brand ambassadors, and hosts to ensure smooth execution and alignment with the brand voice.
Technical Operation: Set up, operate, and troubleshoot live-streaming equipment, including cameras, microphones, and streaming software. Ensure the quality of the stream is maintained (video resolution, sound, lighting, etc.) throughout the session. Coordinate with the production team to ensure that all tech requirements are met before and during the stream.
Qualifications:
Experience: Preferred previous experience as a moderator, livestream operator, or similar role, particularly in social media or e-commerce platforms. Experience with TikTok, live streaming, and/or social shopping experiences is a plus. Familiarity with managing online communities and interacting with a large number of viewers.
Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage an audience in real-time. Technical aptitude with live-streaming software, TikTok’s platform, and basic video production tools. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to stay calm and composed under pressure. Ability to analyze and interpret data to drive performance improvements.
Soft Skills: Detail-oriented with excellent multitasking and time-management abilities. Team player who can work cross-functionally and adapt to changing priorities. Creative thinker with a customer-first mindset, focused on delivering an exceptional user experience.
Location: Must be available to work on-site NY. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or during special events as needed.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with e-commerce platforms or selling products through livestreams. Familiarity with analytics tools and data-driven decision-making. Passion for social media trends, particularly on TikTok.
