We are seeking a full or part time hire for this role
At Bourbon's Craft Kitchen and Bar, we believe in cross-training our team members to create a stronger, more knowledgeable staff while also providing additional opportunities for hours and growth. We are seeking an experienced hospitality professional who is ideally comfortable working both bartender and server shifts, depending on staffing needs. However, we would also hire someone solely for each role if not cross-trained.
This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to help create a seamless dining experience for both guests and staff. Flexibility and a willingness to support different areas of the restaurant are essential to success in this role.

Bartender Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers
- Interact with customers, take orders, and provide recommendations
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area
- Check identification to ensure legal drinking age
- Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register
- Monitor customer behavior and ensure responsible alcohol consumption
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food and beverage orders
- Provide excellent customer service and address customer concerns or complaints
Server Responsibilities:
- Come to work with a friendly, can-do attitude
- Be ready to deal with stressors and highlights of working at a high-volume downtown restaurant
- Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently
- Provide menu recommendations and upsell various menu items to enhance the guest experience
- Deliver food and beverages to tables promptly
- Ensure guest satisfaction by checking on their needs throughout the dining experience
- Clear tables and reset them for the next guests
- Assist with bussing duties to maintain a clean and organized dining area
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure accurate and timely food preparation
- Handle cash transactions using a cash register or POS system (e.g., TOAST POS)
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe dining environment
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or similar hospitality setting is preferred
- Must have prior experience as either a server or bartender
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Excellent communication skills to interact with guests and team members effectively
- Knowledge of restaurant operations and ability to assist guests with menu selection
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with cash handling and operating a cash register or POS system

Pay: $750.00 - $2,500.00 per week
