Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our athletic program as a C Team Volleyball Coach for the upcoming season at Gooding High School. This seasonal position requires an enthusiastic leader who can inspire and develop young athletes, promote teamwork, and cultivate a positive and competitive environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of volleyball fundamentals and a commitment to fostering the personal and athletic growth of each player.
Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct daily practice sessions focused on skill development, teamwork, and game strategy.
- Coach the C Team during matches, providing guidance, support, and constructive feedback.
- Develop and implement training programs that enhance players' technical skills and physical fitness.
- Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that encourages participation and personal growth.
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school administration regarding team activities, schedules, and expectations.
- Monitor and assess player performance, providing individual feedback to help athletes improve.
- Ensure compliance with school policies and regulations, as well as league rules and guidelines.
- Organize and oversee team events, including practices, games, and tournaments.
- Promote sportsmanship and respect among players, opponents, and officials.
- Collaborate with other coaches and staff to support the overall athletic program at Gooding High School.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous coaching experience, particularly with youth or high school volleyball teams, is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of volleyball rules, techniques, and strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire young athletes.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate practice and game schedules.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred or must be obtained within the first month of employment.

- Background check clearance as required by school district policies.
