Responsibilities
- Dispatch repair orders to technicians based on skill level, certifications, and current workload.
- Monitor technician productivity and maintain an efficient workflow throughout the day.
- Prioritize customer waiters, appointment vehicles, and internal repair orders.
- Work closely with Service Advisors, Shop Foremen, Parts Department, and Service Management to minimize downtime.
- Ensure repair orders are dispatched accurately and completed in a timely manner.
- Balance technician workloads to maximize shop efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor repair progress and make adjustments as needed to maintain service schedules.
- Assist in maintaining daily shop production goals and technician efficiency.
- Help identify workflow bottlenecks and recommend process improvements.
- Maintain accurate records within the dealership management system.
- Support a positive, team-oriented work environment focused on exceptional customer service.
Qualifications
- Previous automotive dealership dispatch experience preferred.
- Subaru dealership experience is a plus but not required.
- Strong understanding of automotive repair processes and dealership service operations.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to make quick decisions and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills with technicians, advisors, and management.
- Experience with dealership management software (CDK experience is a plus).
- High attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
