Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team and support our Accounting Manager. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting various financial processes across the organization. The Accountant will support daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, payment processing, and month- end close activities, while ensuring accurate financial records and timely reporting.
Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable – Perform Invoice Processing, Cash Postings/Transactions – Reconcile AP Reports.
- Accounts receivable – Perform Invoice Issuing/Processing – Reconcile AR Reports
- Set up weekly payment runs on bank websites for authorization by the Accounting Manager and President. Generate checks and mail accordingly.
- Perform bank reconciliations.
- Perform reconciliations of AP & AR balances, GL accounts, project CIP, Inventory, and other areas as needed
- Prepare various monthly journal entries and assist Accounting Manager in month-end reporting as needed.
- Record fixed assets in the appropriate accounts with the appropriate useful life and monitor CIP accounts.
- Sales Tax Reporting
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Finance, or related field, preferred.
Experience
1–3 years of full-time experience in an accounting or similar role.
- Experience with AP, processing invoices, cash postings, bank reconciliations, AP/AR reports, fixed assets, inventory postings in ERP system.
- D Basic knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Pay: $35,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
