We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Mechanic to join our dynamic manufacturing facility team. Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
- Utilize schematics, electrical blueprints, and technical manuals to diagnose issues accurately and efficiently.
- Conduct electrical diagnostics using tools such as ammeters and ohmmeters to troubleshoot low voltage and electrical system faults.
- Repair or replace components using welding techniques ( welding if applicable), precision measuring instruments, and other mechanical tools.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities within Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Troubleshoot complex equipment problems involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs), hydraulic systems, HVAC/R units, and industrial electrician tasks.
- Assist with technical sales support by providing insights into equipment capabilities and repair options when needed.
- Follow safety protocols diligently while working with high-voltage electrical systems and heavy machinery such as scissor lifts.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and electrical blueprints to guide repairs and installations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing equipment performance data and recommending upgrades or modifications.
Experience
- Proven experience working in a manufacturing facility environment with a strong understanding of industrial mechanics and maintenance practices.
- Hands-on experience with equipment troubleshooting, electrical diagnostics, hydraulic systems, pneumatic troubleshooting, welding, and equipment repair.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance tracking is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of HVAC/R systems, electrical systems—including low voltage wiring—and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and electrical blueprints accurately.
- Experience with industrial electrician tasks such as electrical blueprint reading, low voltage wiring, ammeter use, ohmmeter diagnostics, and analysis skills.
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by experience in industrial maintenance roles involving precision measuring instruments like calipers or micrometers.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to analyze complex machinery issues quickly and effectively.
- Effective communication skills in English to collaborate with team members and document maintenance activities clearly.
