Golden Arcus International is seeking an experienced Licensed Customs Broker to oversee U.S. customs compliance and import brokerage operations. This position will manage customs clearance for ocean and air shipments, ensure compliance with CBP regulations, coordinate with government agencies, and support our logistics and warehouse operations across multiple U.S. locations.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of working with freight forwarders, carriers, customs authorities, and internal operations teams to ensure efficient and compliant import processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage customs clearance for ocean and air import shipments.
- Review and submit customs entry documentation in compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations.
- Classify products using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTSUS) and determine applicable duties and tariffs.
- Maintain compliance with all U.S. import regulations, including FDA, USDA, EPA, FCC, and other Participating Government Agencies (PGA) when applicable.
- Resolve customs holds, examinations, requests for information, and post-entry corrections.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, trucking companies, warehouses, steamship lines, and airlines.
- Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve customs-related issues to minimize delays.
- Review commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, airway bills, certificates of origin, and other shipping documents for accuracy.
- Maintain customs records and ensure compliance with recordkeeping requirements.
- Provide guidance to internal teams regarding import compliance, customs regulations, and tariff changes.
- Support import process improvements and develop standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Assist management with customs audits, broker management, and compliance initiatives.
QualificationsRequired
- Active U.S. Customs Broker License issued by U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
- Minimum 3 years of customs brokerage or import compliance experience.
- Strong knowledge of:
- CBP regulations
- HTS classification
- Customs valuation
- Country of Origin determination
- Duty assessment
- ISF filing
- Experience handling both ocean and air imports.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple shipments in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Preferred
- Experience in freight forwarding, NVOCC, or 3PL operations.
- Familiarity with customs software such as CargoWise, Descartes, Magaya, or similar brokerage systems.
- Experience working with e-commerce or general merchandise imports.
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese is a plus.

Pay: $65,518.12 - $100,000.00 per year
