The Laughing Owl is looking for a skilled and personable Bartender to join our team. We need someone who can craft quality drinks, engage with guests, and contribute to a fun yet professional atmosphere. The ideal candidate is reliable, works well under pressure, and understands responsible alcohol service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages following standard recipes.
- Deliver excellent customer service and create a welcoming environment.
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately using the POS system.
- Check IDs to ensure guests meet the legal drinking age requirement.
- Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized bar area.
- Follow all alcohol service laws and company policies regarding responsible serving.
- Manage intoxicated guests professionally and in accordance with policies.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, especially during busy hours.
- Restock inventory and communicate supply needs to management.
- Support fellow team members and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Must be 21 years or older.
- Previous bartending experience preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of drink recipes, pouring techniques, and proper glassware.
- Strong multitasking and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- TIPS or equivalent alcohol service certification is a plus.
